The latest Regional and State Employment and Unemployment news release

was issued today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Highlights are below.

In February, 20 states and the District of Columbia recorded over-the-month
unemployment rate decreases, 19 states had increases, and 11 states had no
change. Between January 2008 and February 2008, employment increased in
23 states and the District of Columbia and decreased in 27 states.
