Comments:
The dollar fell to 1.4130 this morning against the euro, 1.0851 against the Swiss franc and 1.6535 against the pound sterling following the declaration of the President of the United States, Barack Obama, who said to expect the GDP figures for the 2nd quarter, which will be announced at 14h30CET this afternoon, still show a contraction of the U.S. economy. The rebound in global stocks and raw materials, the results of the companies considered reassuring, have reduced the attractiveness of safe even currencies, which also contributed to the decline of the greenback.
In the eurozone, the flash estimate of inflation in the euro area at 11h00CET for the month of July will be particularly followed. Expectations of a further decline in inflation of 0.40% in July is expected. The unemployment rate for June will be followed with great attention, the market wonders : "When the unemployment rate will reach there the psychological threshold of 10% ???».
Good weekend and good trading.
