The Pound is up 0.26% against the Dollar at 1.6747 after Barclays posts an 8% increase in profits.

The Pound was up this morning to 1.6747 against the US Dollar, 1.1769 against the Euro, 1.7944 against the Swiss Franc and 158.85 against the Yen. The second largest British bank Barclays, announced an increase of 8% of its half-yearly profit this morning. Although this result was below expectations, it reassures investors who are bullish "carry trades".
