The Euro is slightly lower following the unexpected drop in retail sales in June.
Retail sales in the euro area are down by 0.20% in June against expectations. Eurostat has also revised downward the figures from May, which now show a decrease of 0.50% for the month and 3.00% over a year. The statistics agency said that retail sales have been pulled down by Germany, which showed a decline of 1.80% over one month in June.
The euro is in red by 0.03% against its major rivals, down slightly to 1.4386 against the US Dollar.
