The Fed keeping it at 2.0%?

The question of the day is will the Fed keep it at 2.0%

Many expect the Fed to keep the interest rate at 2.0% this evening with a risk that the Fed again would mention the downside risk for the outlook of the US growth. This could be interpreted as the US is not out of the woods yet which could set off fears that recession is still possible.

The USD has gained ground against a basket of currencies. EUR/USD fell through the first and second supports of the day as shown on our EUR/USD - Technical Analysis for the day. GBP/USD pierced the first support at 1.9560 to 1.9524.

Although some say that the Fed should hike up the interest rate as its next move, and some say it depends what the Fed may say if the US economy has gotten better, no change or worse, many believe that the interest rate hike might not be for the very near future.
