The Central Bank of Russia is preparing to invest in the Canadian Dollar.
The Central Bank of Russia declared this morning that they are preparing to invest a certain percentage of its foreign exchange reserves in the Canadian Dollar, in order to diversify its portfolio of currencies. They added that they could also add other currencies to foreign exchange reserves they already have. The Canadian dollar was sharply higher against its rivals, at 1.0480 against the US Dollar, 83.65 against the Yen and 1.5775 versus the Euro.
