Comments: The risk appetite is back in this period of year-end, the market is optimistic about the global economic recovery, while the concerns of the Greek debt decreases. The Japanese yen is down against its major rivals to 91.70 against the U.S. dollar and 130.75 against the euro. The U.S. dollar is still rising, investors expect the Fed raises interest rates sooner than other industrialized countries.
Today, the publication of the minutes of the last monetary policy meeting of the Bank of England is expected to 10:30 CET. The market expects that the two major decisions to keep interest rates at 0.5% and the amount of the repurchase program assets to 200 billion pounds had been taken unanimously.
